See You Next Wednesday… This Week In Comic Book Movie News

The Dark Knight is perhaps one of the best comic book movies of all time, and also the most financially successful one to. Heath Ledger’s performance as the joker is the main theme of this movie. Ledger disappeared into this role and made the 70 year old character his own.

Now, there are a lot of BLANKes out there… some person who randomly stumbles accross the ICP web site and then wants all sorts of free hook up or something… But those people aren’t the same people who buy ICP CDs, who go to concerts, and who are generally down with the clown. You got a popular web site, and so you knoww hat I am talking about… Now, I am not hating on these people… hopefully they will come across the world of the Dark Carnival on the internet and it will open their eyes, and create another Juggalo eventually. However, a Juggalo is definitly 1 in a 100, so most just don’t get it.

My answer is that it’s a collection, the whole point is to get as many as you can. For the hardcore collector, especially a collector who has more than one hobby, storage is a problem.

Marvel comics is one of the biggest comic companies in the world. They brought us such heroes as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Fantastic Four, the Hulk, and others. It was founded in 1939 by Martin Goodman as Timely Comics. The Marvel people are familiar with comes from the 1960s birth of the Fantastic Four and other negan created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and others.

I’ve several new comic series in the works. One of these, an historical western, will eventually be translated into a screenplay. I’ve also started teaching an 8 week course, aided by artist Rich Woodall, on how to write and draw comics for a local comic book shop. Our first session is nearing completion and a new one starts Jan. 3rd of next year. Add to this my bi-weekly internet book review column PULP FICTION, and you can see, I’m one busy camper. Ha. but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
