A n Odyssey marine biology experience is a full-on, hands-on learning voyage, taught by the world's top marine biologists, conservationists, explorers, and photographers. Middle school and high school students get to study marine biology in a way that few get to, living aboard a sailing yacht, right above the beautiful reefs and fishes of the Caribbean. Whether it's out in the reefs, in the shipwrecks, or on turtle grass beds or mangrove forests, no marine bio summer camp goes further or more in depth than Odyssey.
No other marine biology summer camp or marine science camp offers as many direct face-to-face encounters to closely observe and study whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals and puffins in their own natural habitat. Board our research vessel for unmatched examinations of marine life. Help collect data to document whale distribution, feeding and behavioral patterns.
Creatures from the bizarre to the common live together in this intriguing realm. Some fish wear brightly colored ornamentation to challenge your curiosity, others live nearly hidden by camouflage. Our Tropical Marine Biology camps and marine science summer camps, run by our staff marine biologists and oceanographers, offer a fascinating opportunity to affirm or further define your interest in this science while sailing and scuba diving on the reefs.

You might be hard-pressed to find a person who, at some point in his life, didn't consider making a career out of working with animals. Many children dream of becoming a veterinarian, zoologist or marine biologist. If you or your teenager has not changed his mind about a career with sea life, sending him to a marine biology summer program will give him a taste of all the best, and sometimes the worst, parts of that field. Some programs include learning how to SCUBA dive and getting your open water certification, while others require certification as a prerequisite.
